and so they entered that fateful bottom of the ninth down 4 runs.  it was 7-3.  the 3-0 lead they'd once had seemed like a lifetime ago.  but they were not defeated.  there was gas in the tank.  i won't go through everything that happened.  but i will say this: giambi walks, posada singles, one out later lawton singles to load the bases, then tino sdrives in a run.  now jetes drives in two more.  down one, matsui flys out to move runners to the corners.  and then? shef drives in the tying run.  i guess it was inevitable a-rod would sent jetes home.  yankees win!  theeeeeeeeeeeee yankees win!  and just like that, all is right with the world.  i think i'll record tonight.

cape mania

i just returned from the Cape.  i will go back.  the beach is better than this inland life of grotesque nights with neighbors' wives, non-salty air that tastes like nothing.  the mosquitos aren't even biting.  who needs it?
